I hope this letter finds you well, I write to fulfill the request for information on our homeworlds— my name is Schala, and I hail from the Kingdom of Zeal.
The Kingdom itself floats high above the land, where our cities lie, ascending to its highest point. There is Enhasa, a place dedicated to the study of dreams. Beds and books line the walls, hoping to reveal the secrets of the universe by unlocking it through the unconscious mind. Kajar is the city of magic, where our most fervent scholars work to perfect skills and tools to enhance one's natural abilities. Beyond that is the Palace, where the Mammon Machine is housed, and the royal family can be found.
You see, everyone that lives within the Kingdom itself has been given the gift of magic— they call us the Enlightened Ones. Those that do not possess this power... live beneath the clouds, having to survive against the harsh conditions of a deep age of ice and cold that has raged as long as anyone can recall. They are the Earthbound Ones, made of the same flesh and bone as the rest of us, but... certainly not treated like it.
Reading this now, it may be easy to see why here in this world, I seek the knowledge and perhaps even the power— to help create change.
